Rudy To Speak To National Rifle Association This Week
This Friday, Rudy will be debuting his new positions on guns before the audience that cares about them most: The National Rifle Association. He'll be speaking at an NRA convention, along with Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee.
All eyes, of course, will be on Rudy, who has repeatedly spoken out in favor of gun laws and indeed initiated a groundbreaking lawsuit against the gun companies as Mayor of New York City -- a lawsuit despised by the NRA. It'll be interesting to see how he finesses his past views, now that he no longer has to answer to the urban residents who are endangered by illegal guns and instead is worrying mainly about the views of GOP primary voters.

I once had a Sheriff I knew call me about a former boss of mine who was preaching The Right to Bear Arms on the radio; I'm still not sure what he wanted to know. But the Second Amendment fanatics have never had many friends in the field of law enforcement.
