Murdoch's incentive for taking over the Wall Street Journal has as much to do with the access it gives him to Asia markets as it does with his takeover/consolidation of the US Media.

This is equally troublesome to me, since his influence will now expand exponentially to a region that is already suspicious of the West. The reason for this: The purchase includes the very influential version of the Wall Street Journal-Asia, along with its corresponding media outlets.

It is a market that is growing over 10 percent and explains, imo, his willingness to overpay for the WSJ as much or more than his reasons of ideology.
