Rudy Camp Swiftly Replaces Suspected Druggie Campaign Chair

That was quick. Less than 24 hours after the news broke that Rudy's South Carolina chairman was indicted for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, the Rudy campaign has quickly ushered in a replacement.

Barry Winn? Did he have anything to do with the Bush sliming of McCain in 2000?

In any event, it was sort of satisfying to read, in this morning's Times, the sort of thin piece on Giuliani and the ISG, and then, adjacent to that, that his drug dealing campaign manager got nabbed.

I believe CNN was running a banner that said "Giuliani's campaign manager arrested for drugs". That must have caused his campaign to have aploplexy.

you serious? "hillary's campaign manager"?

when was that, do you know?

user-pic

No, "Giuliani's campaign manager". It was between 10 and 11 this AM--and I'm not positive it was CNN. I was flicking back and forth between CNN and MSNBC and wandering in and out, so my memory is fuzzy. Whichever one, the banner was kind of misleading, because it clearly implied that it was the "campaign manager" rather than the South Carolina campaign manager.

For some reason this has me thinking about the time that Giuliani and Al (the Fonz) D'Amato dressed up in biker outfits and brought a couple of $20 vials of crack as a photo op.

user-pic

whoops -- I meant Giuliani's ... so used to the bullshit coverage of Hillary

user-pic

Are you serious?? Really? Are there pictures of this?

The thought of Al D'Amato in a biker outfit makes me want to hurl.

user-pic

There are pictures. I Post absolutely had one on the front page when it happened. I tried to find one online, but gave up after 10 minutes.

The pic is here.

Thank you.

Oh my. I can't stop laughing. Is that really Giuliani? Those are Hell's Angels outfits? Wait. This was 1880s, right?

Much as I dislike gotcha journalism, I think it's hilarious that rough and tough New Yorker Giuliani had to go to God-fearing Carolina to hook up with a crack dealer.

Let's not be too hasty in our criticism:

I think South Carolinian Crackheads for Giuliani could be a powerful coalition group.

Will the new guy have as good a connection? I'm sure Guiliana will want only the very best crack for his parties.
