This still doesn't answer why the JP is sending out advertising for 3rd parties under its name. This is a big step from just renting out a mailing list, and, on the face of it, grossly unethical. The Post is in essence using its name to, yes, endorse a candidate. Do they do this with other products too? If they send out an email ad FROM THE JP that says herbal Viogro will get you horny 24/7, yes they ARE endorsing that product. Otherwise there's no reason for the marketers to use that email address, is there.

Also, is the JP a foreign corporation? If so it seems like they're in violation of several US election laws.

And how. What else could the interpretation possibly be?

I'm not familiar with the Jerusalem Post. Do other newspapers in other countries make a practice of sending out e-mails from candidates in the newspaper's name? Any one out there know?

On second thought, I have a better question. Will any of the Democrats condemn Giuliani and Romney? Again, the question is rhetorical.

They won't say anything and the media won't say anything. This disgraceful activity will remain unknown to the vast majority of Americans. Thanks TPM for making it public.

Who is really behind the funding of G.'s message?
What does the JP (and them behind it) hope to gain from a Giuliani nomination?
What has Giuliani promised them?
Who is G. beholden to?
What other foriegn influences have ties to G.?

And of course,"what the heck is going on here?"

The first thought that hit me when I read this story was the owner of the Jerusalem Post.

It's Conrad Black, chief executive of Hollinger, and currently a defendant in United States Federal Court (on charges brought on by US Attorney - Patrick Fitzgerald!)

Pals of Conrad: George Will (whom he paid for "services"), Richard Pearle (on his board), Henry Kissinger, Ex-Gov Jim Thompson, the "Doughy Pantload" (Jonah Goldburg who defends him), and pathetic shit-rag David Frum (on his payroll).

And now you know why this happened! There is no difference between the Jerusalem Post and the New York Post - both are Reich-wing propaganda rags.
