Three New Senators Oppose Escalation

Three new Senators have just unveiled a resolution today against President Bush's escalation plan: GOPers John Warner and Susan Collins, and Dem Senator Ben Nelson. The measure, which is intended as a softer alternative to the Biden-Hagel resolution introduced last week, stops short of advocating any sort of concrete Congressional action against Bush's escalation proposal; indeed, one of its most conspicuous features is its refusal to use the word "escalation" to describe Bush's troop increase. Rather, it uses the word "augmentation" -- the preferred language of the White House. On-air commentators are already starting to hail this resolution for its centrist and bipartisan nature and its reach for "compromise." So here's our question: Can anyone seriously argue that this measure represents anything close to the center of popular opinion in this country?

On March 15, 44 BC, Julius Caesar was attacked by a group of senators, including Marcus Junius Brutus, a senator and Caesar's close friend. Caesar initially resisted his attackers, but when he saw Brutus, he supposedly spoke those words and resigned himself to his fate

This Latin version was made famous by William Shakespeare, who used it in his play, Julius Caesar (act 3, scene 1,85).

 It must have been a fearful thought that the Senators, would have been charged and sent to their deaths for opposing Caesars grab for power.

How long must the people suffer under the rule of law that allows a Despot, It is becoming apparent that even the US Senators are trying to come to grasp with the madness of this self proclaimed Caesar, taking ½ measures so as to not be called traitors. What frightening times we confront.

Despotism is a form of government by a single authority, either an individual or tightly knit group, which rules with absolute political power. In its classical form, a despotism is a state where one single man, called a Despot, wields all the power and authority, and everyone else is considered his slave.

This President doesn’t care what the Senators think, This president and his tightly knit group of Cheney and his Neo Con advisors,view this Congress as his slaves. “ Beware you slaves, you’re bordering treason.”

If Congress doesn't act quickly, Resistance will be futile
