CT-SEN: Lieberman Wins Majority Of Newspaper Endorsements
And the winner of the editorial sweepstakes in the Connecticut sweepstakes is...Joe Lieberman. Of 14 Connecticut newspaper endorsements tallied by Election Central, Lieberman got 10, while only 4 have gone to Lamont (though he did win the support of the New York Times twice):
Lieberman:
The Hartford Courtant
The Day
County Times (not online)
The Norwich Bulletin
The New Haven Register
The Connecticut Post
The Greenwich Time
Newtown Bee
Stamford Advocate
Republican-American
Lamont:
Danbury News Times
Lakeville Journal
Meridan Record-Journal
Westport News

I live in New Jersey and yesterday morning I saw a Lieberman ad during 60 Minutes on CBS. It was a great example of how adishonest politician operates. Half of the ad's time was an image of families hugging returning troops with the words "Bringing Home the Troops" in big white letters across the image.

The Yale Daily News endorsed Lamont. With over 23,000 undergads, alone (i.e. not counting faculty and graduate students), this daily newspaper merits a spot on your list.

The NYT should really count as well. While not technically based in CT, they have a CT edition and a lot of subscribers in CT, probably more than many of these other papers, and I'm sure their views carry more weight than a lot of the other papers as well, esp. since in some ways this is an intramural skirmish.

How's the "trend" coming ohiomeister? That is, after all - according to your earlier posts - all that matters...

I suppose a newspaper that calls itself the "Republican-American" might be an unlikely place to find unbiased journalism... or professional editing.
Who would be the best advocate for a muscular, pro-active defense against those who have vowed to exterminate every American who won't covert to Islam?
