Chuck Todd's Latest: Dems To Take 16-18 House Seats...Or 30-35
The National Journal's Chuck Todd has just updated his House rankings. He thinks Dems will either take the House by just a few seats or, if not, by an enormous landslide:
We're not comfortable giving a range anymore. We believe it's an either/or situation. Either the Democrats narrowly win the House with 16 to 18 seats or they win a 30 to 35-plus landslide. We can't picture them winning 25 seats, because if they take Nos. 24 and 25 on our list, they should also take the next five to 10 below that.
Biggest changes? AZ-05 jumping from 33rd to 20th most competetive race and PA-04 from 43rd to 30th most competitive. Check the rest out here.

Hedge until the last minute. I love all these prognosticators.

Four days out and the guy gets paid for saying stuff like "the dems will either win a little or win a lot. It all depends." Where do I sign up.

I'll admit it looks like Chuck Todd has taken up residence on the fence, but even his low prediction of 16-18 seats is still enough for a Democratic take over of the House.
Even Larry Sabato hedged his November 2nd predictions, "We'll be back in your in-box very early on Monday morning [November 6th] with any last-minute alterations to the predictions list. Late bombshells, scandals, and other developments can always alter the picture. We've cautioned a thousand times in every medium: "Don't pull down the curtain on an election until election day!" We really do believe that." Until all the polls close on November 7th events can still influence voting.
