VA-SEN: Cheney Has Stealth Fundraiser For Allen At Right-Wing Publisher's Home
Dick Cheney slipped into Virginia yesterday to raise money for GOP Senator George Allen. The event was held at the private home of Thomas L. Phillips, founder and chairman of Eagle Publishing -- you know, the conservative outfit which pubishes Michael Savage and Ann Coulter, as well as titles such as Is Darwinism Headed For Extinction? and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam. Incidentally, there was no mention whatsoever of the event with Cheney on Allen's public schedule.

How strange can things get? When I picture Cheney at this "fundraiser", so many other things come to mind about what is really going on there. My imagination is running overtime, but I'm not sure I want to share my paranoid fantasies with the new "enemy combatant" rules. I'm sure if Bush can designate, so can Cheney. Will Allen even admit this meeting happened? talk about arm twisting.

So this is the GOP's version of American represenative democracy: Meeting like mafiosi with cowards, thieves, and xenophobic bigots. What part of Virginia did Allen think he was representing today?
