TN-07: Dem Morrison Questions Asst. Majority Whip Blackburn On Foley Scandal
There's more evidence that the Foley scandal is already beginning to enter campaigns around the country as an issue. Earlier today, Dem candidate Bill Morrison issued a press release questioning his GOP opponent Rep. Marsha Blackburn's leadership and her knowledge of the scandal "amid allegations of Republican cover-up." Pointing out that Blackburn is an assistant majority whip and the fourth-ranking member of the House, Morrison said "It appears that the House leadership suffered a gross oversight at best, or engaged in unethical and potentially criminal actions at worst." The press release can be found in the TPM document collection.
