So Who's Keeping Foley's Money -- And Who's Unloading It?
So here are the GOP House and Senate candidates or incumbents who have received money this cycle from Mark Foley's political action committee, Florida Republican Leadership PAC:
House of Representatives: Buchanan, Vernon (R-FL) $2,000 Davis, Geoff (R-KY) $1,000 Gerlach, Jim (R-PA) $1,000 Johnson, Nancy L (R-CT) $1,000 Ney, Bob (R-OH) $1,000 (No longer running for reelection) Pryce, Deborah (R-OH) $5,000 Shaw, E. Clay Jr (R-FL) $1,000 Weldon, Curt (R-PA) $1,000Senate:
Coleman, Norm (R-MN) $500
Allen, George (R-VA) $2,000
So who's keeping Foley's cash and who's getting rid of it? The Associated Press reports that Allen is giving his $2,000 in Foley-bucks to charity, along with GOP Rep Heather Wilson, who's getting rid of the $8,000 she's received from Foley between 1998 and 2002. The NRCC, meanwhile, is keeping the $550,000 it's received from Foley since 1996. A full list of recipients of Foley's cash in the three previous cycles after the jump.

I'll find a citation and more details later in the day, but I read that Rep. Tom Reynolds, (R) NY, co-chair of Foley's House committee on exploited children, benefitted from $330,000 from Foley. A large part of this money came during the period when Reynolds had been officially notified about the incriminating emails and was deciding whether to investigate. He subsequently decided not to investigate. This money was probably transferred from Foley's campaign chest to Reynold's NY campaign.

This large sum may have been a donation from Foley to the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, which Foley and Reynolds co-chaired, rather than directly to Reynolds. It's good to see that people are "following the money."
