OH-Gov: Woodward: Bush called Blackwell A "Nut"
Bob Woodward's new book, State of Denial, reports that President Bush thinks Ohio gubernatorial candidate Ken Blackwell is a "nut." On page 347, Woodward depicts a scene where Bush is waiting for some 2004 election results. Woodward quotes Bush as follows: "I'm the President of the United States," Bush fumed, "waiting on a secretary of state who is a nut." Full scene after the jump.
From page 347 of Woodward's State of Denial:
"At 2:43 a.m., someone noted that Bush was ahead in the popular vote nationwide, prompting the President to sneer, "If the popular vote made it, I wouldn't be here."The campaign was left to anxiously wait for a statement from Kenneth Blackwell, a former black power student leader who had morphed into Ohio's gadfly Republican secretary of state.
"I'm the President of the United States," Bush fumed, "waiting on a secretary of state who is a nut."
As the Cincinnati Enquirer's "Politics Extra" blog points out, Blackwell's nuttiness didn't stop Bush from raising $1.5 million for Blackwell's campaign this summer.

Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't.
They're both nuts.
Bush and Rove will be glad to have Blackwell fix the Ohio vote again if it helps keep the GOP in power

Blackwell just might be a "nut" but Bush is a stark raving meglomaniac...with delusions of messianic grandeur.

What's amazing is the contempt for democracy and vote-counting.
And, how does Ken feel after rigging so much of the election for W, that he still gets no respect?

The question arises; Will the people of Ohio elect a "a nut" as Governor?
