IN-08: Hostettler's Ads Growing Increasingly Bizarre...
Desperation in Indiana:

This full page ad ran yesterday in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star, paid for by the campaign of GOP Rep. John Hostettler. You may recall that Hostettler recently ran a radio ad saying that a vote for Dem challenger Brad Ellsworth is a vote to "advance the homosexual agenda." Polls show Ellsworth trouncing Hostettler by as many as 23 points.

The Fight to Secure Our Borders Begins in Indiana. I think that pretty much sums it up.
"Begins!"

Gilchrist, Bay Buchanan, Tommy Tancredo? Wow, that's a critical mass of xenophobia. Are they going to sacrifice a few Mexicans at the end?

does a wounded and cornered animal bite you if it's also severely retarded/demented?
if it's down by 23 percentage points in an election, does the bite hurt?

What a hate-fest that is gonna be. Hostettler got the grade A wingnuts for this bonfire...

Indiana? If the Canucks launch an invasion through Detroit then, yes, the fight DOES begin in Evansville.

The Mexican border is almost 1,300 miles from Terre Haute. What gets into these people?
I live in northern California. The region is almost 25% Latino, maybe another 20% Asian. No one gives two craps about the "immigration" problem, and yet we are overrun with immigrants.
Indiana is about 89% white, maybe 5% Hispanic, 1% Asian. Funny how the places with the fewest immigrants are the most fired-up about the "immigration" problem. Ignorant.

If an incumbant in IN is down by 23 points, well, I can finally begin to hope that there really is a tidal change happening. Maybe this is for real.

And to think there are people out there who are actually looking forward to these. Jesus wept.
Does this king of thing strike anyone else as a Klan "Rally in the Valley" without the hoods and the burning crosses?

The fact that this election may come down to 'values' issues, what someone wrote in their novel or if someone mis-dialed a sex line, shows how lost this county is. THe majority of people in this country block out almost anything that might intrude on their mythical view of the United States. I guess as long as you don't know any better, you can still chant "We're number one! We're number one!". And THAT seems to be the most important thing to most americans. If we wake up Nov 8th and the GOP has held on to power...what then?

There is a simple response to this--he missed one more headline. So the opposition should fill it in:
Ex-Congressman begging for a new job; Dogcatcher post not available.

Hey now - my state of Indiana isn't number one on the Homeland Security's appropriations list for nothing! We've got over a 1000 potential terrorist targets in our state, so you KNOW we're on the front lines of the immigration and terror wars.
case and point: Today I'm going to have a burrito for lunch at my favorite Mexican fast-food stand. I gauruntee you the guys working the grill ain't legal; and there's at least three of them! Close the floodgates!
And Bloomington ain't got nothing on Lazy Muncie.

According to this, Ellsworth supports "comprehensive" reform. As I can illustrate with dozens or hundreds of links if necessary, the word "comprehensive" means some form of legalization/regularization such as that proposed by the Senate bill, Kennedy-McCain, Bush's plan, etc. etc. Whether called "amnesty" or called "banana", millions of prospective illegal aliens around the world will perceive that as an amnesty.
If anyone has any substantial comments in favor of what Ellsworth supports, I'll be happy to show why what he supports is wrong.

Wha?
Evansville is at the extreme southern end of Indiana. It's hardly going to be where the fight begins if Canada invades. More likely it will be in Angola, Hamilton, Butler or Fort Wayne.
What do they teach kids in school these days?
