For First Time, CQ Projects More Dems On Track To Win
This is a milestone: Today, for the first time in this election cycle, CQ Politics is projecting that more Democratic House candidates than Republicans are on track to win their races. CQ editor Bob Benenson confirmed the change — and added that more shifts are coming. CQ is listing 209 Dems on track to win as of this writing, while projecting that 208 Republicans are headed for victory. The remaining 18 seats are listed as "No Clear Favorite" — and since all 18 are held by Republicans, it's yet another sign of the Democratic Party's mounting advantage.

The Rothenberg and CQ projections are just showing that there are more races in play, not that the Democrats will win those races. Tossup doesn't mean it's in the bag. Formerly safe Republican seats are now competitive which is good news for Democrats.
Most congressional races aren't polled and national polls are deceptive because they don't take into account local dynamics - "All politics is local." Both parties do internal polling and much of it never gets into the media. Again, money and get-out-the-vote efforts (base and undecideds) are the way elections are won.
Kudos to those who are working on campaigns, "boots on the ground" is the way we'll win this battle.
