CO-03, CO-04, CO-07: CQ: Dems "Surging" In Colorado
CQ Politics is reporting that Dems are now "surging" in Colorado, and it has changed its ratings of two races accordingly: The contest between Dem Ed Perlmutter and GOPer Rick O'Donnell has moved from "No Clear Favorite" to "Leans Democratic," while the race between Dem Rep. John Salazar and GOP challenger Scott Tipton moves from "Leans Democratic" to the less-competitive "Democrat Favored." Relatedly, Kos points to an internal poll done by Dem challenger Angie Paccione showing her in a dead heat with GOP Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, and asks: "Is it real? Accurate? If so, she may have weathered one of the fiercest full frontal assaults of any Democrat this cycle."

The Hill newspaper has an article today about the National Republican Congressional Committee's "Final Push List" of the 33 candidates who are in most need of money. For Colorado, Musgrave is on that list (which shows that Paccione's poll might just be close to reality) as is Lamborn, the candidate for Joel Hefley's seat in CO-5. O'Donnell is not on the list, nor is Tipton, which means the NRCC is downgrading if not giving up on those races.

I saw a special on CNN about the Congressional representative who gave up this seat in CO, being unwilling to endorse the GOP nominee O'Donnell.
Seems the retired Congressman, was the former Chair of the ethics committe, who Hastert axed, after the committe censored Delay.

You're talking about Joel Hefley who is retiring from CO-05 and has refused to endorse the Republican running for his open seat, Lamborn.
CO-07 is an open seat because the incumbent, Bob Beauprez, is running for Governor.
