CA-11: Pombo Gets A Whammo From The Associated Press
GOP Rep Richard Pombo's race against Dem challenger Jerry McNerney may have just gotten a heck of a lot tougher, thanks to a whammo visited on Pombo by the Associated Press today. TPMmuckraker's Paul Kiel explains.

The Pombo and Doolittle races seem to be the only two in play in California. Another one that should be is the 41st District (Republican Jerry Lewis) who is under Federal investigation as part of the Duke Cunningham bribery scandal. The story hasn't gathered enough traction at this point, the 41st District is heavily Republican and Lewis who is Chair of the House Appropriations Committee brings home a lot of pork.
