Vet Amputee Duckworth Will Slam Bush In Dem Radio Response

Dem House candidate and veteran Tammy Duckworth -- who lost both her legs in the Iraq war -- will slam President Bush for painting Dems as the "cut and run" party in the Dem response to tomorrow's Presidential radio address, according to an audio excerpt of the speech obtained by Election Central. "I didn’t cut and run, Mr. President," Duckworth will say. "Like so many others, I proudly fought and sacrificed. My helicopter was shot down long after you proclaimed `Mission Accomplished.'" Exclusive audio excerpt after the jump.

Duckworth received national attention this week after Election Central reported that GOP opponent Peter Roskam had suggested she wanted to "cut and run" from Iraq despite her injury. Tomorrow, Duckworth aggressively fault Bush and the GOP's constant efforts to paint Dems as cut-and-run defeatists as follows:
Anyone who challenges our failed policies, or suggests the need for a new strategy, is accused of “cutting and running.”

Well, I didn’t cut and run, Mr. President. Like so many others, I proudly fought and sacrificed. My helicopter was shot down long after you proclaimed "Mission Accomplished."
