PA-07: Sestak Launches First TV Ad -- An "Admiral"...And A "Democrat"
Joe Sestak -- the Dem taking on GOP Rep./International Man of Mystery Curt Weldon -- has just launched his first ad. It doesn't once mention Weldon -- but it does stress very strongly that Sestak is an "Admiral"...and a "Democrat." No running from party labels in this ad.

"...and I authorized this message..."
I like that touch.

It's a requirement to have that on candidate ads. Unfortunately, the CEO of Philip-Morris doesn't have to do that in their ads for California propositions.

Did the ad say "he aposes bush's fair policies in Iraq?"
Wonder what that is all about?

It says he "...opposes Bush's failed policies in Iraq."

I know that....but most of the candidates end their spots by saying:
"I approved this message"
With Sestak saying "I authorized this message", it makes it sound more authoritative and proactive....more like "I instructed them to craft this specific ad" and less like "They came to me with this ad, and, eh, its OK, it gets my approval"
