OH-SEN: Out Of Sight, Bush To Fundraise For DeWine

President Bush is heading to Ohio for the third time this year to fundraise for embattled Sen. Mike DeWine, but apparently the Senator doesn't want the public to see the two of them together. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the President will appear at a $5000 a ticket evening fundraiser for DeWine on Sept. 25, but makes no mention of any public events. Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Dewine's opponent, Rep. Sherrod Brown, told the paper, "President Bush is returning to Ohio to reward Sen. DeWine for rubberstamping each major piece of his agenda, but DeWine has so far spoiled the Grand Old Party by scheduling no public appearances with the president."
