A 6-0 unanimous vote by the Ohio Elections Commission has cleared Rep. Jean Schmidt (R) of false statement charges levied against her by write-in candidate Nathan Noy. The Commission is now considering whether Noy should be sanctioned for bringing a frivolous case and ordered to pay all legal fees of the proceedings. Noy was scolded by Commission members for lacking evidence and witnesses to support his case.
