Ga-04: McKinney Says Cops Harassed Workers

Floundering Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D) -- whose apparent lack of affection for police officers was on display in her recent alteration with a Capitol Hill cop -- is claiming on her website that police are harassing her volunteers.

That's not all. McKinney also insists voting machines are breaking down, but the Atlanta Journal Constitution says Georgia's Secretary of State's office claims the allegations appear to be unfounded. Either way, McKinney may “refuse to lose,” as her campaign hotline says, but soon enough we'll hear what today's primary voters have to say about it -- police intimidation notwithstanding.

While I am no particular fan of Cynthia McKinney (I think her heart is in the right place but her mouth often gets ahead of her brain), looking to Ga. SoS Cathy "I Luv Diebold" Cox for anything approaching a credible comment on black box voting machines in Georgia is plainly ridiculous. You may as well report that Bush assures us that he really did win Florida in 2000.
