McKinney lost to Denise Majette in 2002.
Majette decided to run for the Senate in 2004 and lost. She's now running for Georgia State Superintendent of Schools.
McKinney ran again in 2004 and won against 4 or 5 opponents.
I have a feeling she'll attempt a comeback in two years, since she probably feels that she was stabbed in the back by receiving little Democratic party support.
