CT-SEN: Memo To CNN: What's Wrong With This Picture?
Joe Lieberman is being interviewed on CNN as we speak. Anyone notice anything wrong with this picture?
It says, "D-Connecticut." But what should it actually say, given that the network is interviewing him in the context of an impending election in which he's not running as a Dem? Maybe: "Joe Lieberman -- CFL-Connecticut." As in, Connecticut For Lieberman.

He is still technically the elected Democrat Sen. from CT. He will remain so until the new Congress is sworn in after the election. He has not renounced his memebership in the democratic party. He is running as an independant but that seem a long title for CNN to put at the botton of the screen.
Should it look like this?
Sen Joe Lieberman
(D) Connecticut running as an (I)Independant
Granted they do have an elction tag over the title. I am not watching but I would guess they are talking about his Independant run. Do you really think anybody, particularly in CT, is confused about his status in the election?

Yo, he's a D until the end of the year, after that they can change it to I, or maybe keep it a D if he decides to use a D after his win.
