CA-11: Pombo Aide: Let's Bulldoze Connecticut

A senior adviser to California Rep. Richard Pombo (R) is so upset with a Connecticut newspaper that he suggested in an email to colleagues that the state be bulldozed and its residents sent to Guantanamo Bay, where, for all he cares, they can commit "suicide."

Pombo, chair of the House Resources Committee, backs ANWR oil drilling. But a June editorial in the Hartford Courant opposed drilling. A committee staffer emailed around asking how to respond. Seven minutes later senior Pombo adviser Daniel Kish emailed back his answer. Kish's full email after the jump.

Connecticut should have its statehood taken away from it. The foolishness of its pampered residents should be demonstrated to others by a government program to bulldoze the entire state, salt the land and construct a windfarm to supply NYC with electricity. And its residents should be relocated to Guantanamo Bay where they can take a number behind the 3 who hung themselves this weekend, since they seem so intent on suicide.

When Roll Call questioned Kish, he told them: “You caught me in my ongoing ribbing of Andrew Whelan, who was born and raised in Connecticut and works in our press shop.” All fun and games in the Pombo office!

I hope Mr. Pombo's aide plans on coming to Connecticut in the future...we can show him some of our famous "Yankee Hospitality" and jam an oil well up his a$$.  LOL...I was just kidding too...maybe.
