The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Political Insider has comments from Democrats who voted Republican today. Most of them involved Ralph Reed. Here are some of the comments:
Poor Ralph. That was about as much fun as having to shoot Old Yeller, but it had to be done. May God (the real one, who is never for sale) rest his political soul.
Dear state of Georgia, Thank you for restoring my hope that sanity can prevail over what passes for politics these days. A grateful Virginian
My wife crossed over from the Democrats to vote for Cagle. She sacrificed Cox for Cagle. She vehemently and viscerally detests Ralph Reed. Yes, she foams at the mouth when his visage appears in those damnable ads.
This is the first time that I have intentionally voted “against” anyone in a primary. In the past, I have always gone to the polls to vote “for” someone. However, I feel so strongly that Ralph Reed should NEVER (and I do mean NEVER) hold any public office that I believe today’s vote for Cagle was an absolute civic duty.
People who accuse all Dems of being godless need to go out and get some fresh air once in a while… I wanted to ask Ralph what he shot at St. Andrews with Abramoff and Safavian.
The Christian Right is neither. That is why I voted against Ralph Reed. If Jesus came back today he would slap Reed for his lying & cheating hypocritical ways. If I wanted to live in a religous fascist state I would move to Saudi Arabia.
However, some poor soul named Anne did not see things from the same perspective as the Democrats who voted against Reed. Wonder how she will feel tomorrow.
It is a sin that all these Democrats voted in the Republican Party primary today. They will burn in hell—these “godless” people called Democrats.
At 9:10 PM EST it appears that Georgia and its Godless Democrats is leading The United States of America to hell in a handbasket by denying Ralph Reed the nomination. Oh, what have we done, to be so punished America? Pray that I don’t turn back to drink—I’ve just had my fourth cigarette tonight and I quit 8 years ago!
I am weak—so weak—i just had my ole vodka stinger—oh so good. I just won’t get drunk and go to hell with the rest of the State. Oh Ralph I do love you so!
And to you Acworth—im into my third vodka stinger and will shortly call cabbie to take me to see Ralph at the Intercontinental four blocks from my townhouse to give him one big Christian hug.
Toggle—I AM no SLUT but i know where i’m ultamately headed and that is not with godlessDemicrats to hell. Don’t you TOUNGE me or Ralph either you probable gay.
Oh Forgive me —plese forgive me for I have fallen. The cabbie refused me a ride to the intercontinental just around the road a few miles. I am so weak and in such need of help with my Brother Ralf’s defeat. Is there a Debbie to help me tonight—pleas call as you have my cellalar.
